Hi all! Crazy cold outside and what's a gardener to do but start dreaming about spring. Am starting to update the tree and shrub list, and the perennial lists for 2010- wow, 2010?? My new additions will have a smiley face beside it , designating the new goodies. I will be adding and changing every few days here and there. We are ordering from around 30 companies to get the goods, and it takes awhile to wade thru them all (me and my sidekick, Monica!) Most plants were ordered last July! and then they send confirmations of what they can and can't supply, mad rush to find the things we thought we would get...It would be so nice to think we "just sit around all winter", but there is alot of "behind the scenes" going on! Today I added our hardy Camellia varieties to the "C" list-click Nursery, the C Trees and Shrubs to do a bit of winter droooling. Hopefully up tomorrow a few miniature Hosta varieties (awesome with potted Japanese Maples!) and other new additions to our Hosta collection (our awesome collection...go ahead...check it out! Click Nursery, then Perennials) Although this re-do to our lists may seem scattered as it happens, it is very methodical, point by point to be ready for the arrival of the mad, frothing at the mouth, winter weary highland garden's plant nerds in March.
